Process and Costs of Applying to Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore as an Indian Student
Nanyang Technological University’s application form is fairly simple to fill up. You will have to complete the application in one sitting. All you need are your personal details and educational qualifications. You will need to provide your grade 10 results and mention details of your grade 12 education. Your board exam results must be submitted to NTU’s application portal after they are available.Â
Additionally, you can mention any outstanding achievements in the ‘Achievements’ section. NTU considers national and international level competitions in sports, arts and various science & math olympiads.Â
You will also be asked whether you want to opt-in for the Tuition Grant. The Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE) provides tuition grant (TG) which covers a substantial portion of the full tuition fees to eligible students. If you receive the tuition grant, you are required to pay only the subsidized tuition fee. You will then be required to work in a Singapore-based company for 3-6 years after graduation depending on the type of bond you receive.Â
Lastly, if you have already completed high school, then you will be asked what you have done in your gap year and you will have to write a short statement of about 100-150 words. The most important thing here is to be honest and succinct. Don’t use elaborate vocabulary as the admissions officer will not be evaluating you on how you write but rather on what you write.Â
After submitting your application, make sure to upload all the required documents. For a student applying from India, the following documents will be needed:
- Passport
- Standard 10 transcript
- Standard 12 transcript (submit online within 3 days of result release) with Exam hall Admit Card
If there are any questions about the process, make sure you get in touch with UniRely’s network of mentors at NTU to get help on your application here or other universities in Singapore.Â
