English Proficiency Test Requirements

All international applicants whose native language or the primary language of instruction before applying to the University of California, Davis was not English are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the language. UC Davis is a test-free university for all applicants through Fall 2024. This means that the university won’t consider ACT or SAT scores as a factor while making admission decisions or awarding scholarships. If you decide to submit any scores, they may be used as an alternative method of fulfilling minimum eligibility requirements or course placement purposes.
