You can be exempted from having to take the English proficiency test if:

  • Studied in a Canadian school for 4 years in which the language of instruction was English
  • Studied for 4 years in a school where the dominant language of the country is English

  • 180 and above on the Cambridge Assessment with at least 170 in each component

Tuition Fee and Cost of Living

The tuition fee and cost of living expenses are an estimate and it’s always best to check the official university’s website before applying to make sure of any changes.

Annual Cost In Canadian Dollars In Indian Rupees
Tuition Fee C$ 60,000 ₹ 33,00,000
Living Expenses C$ 16,000 ₹ 8,80,000
Total C$76,000 ₹ 41,80,000

The conversion from Canadian Dollar to INR has been made with C$1 = ₹55. The cost may vary with the varying exchange rate.

Application Portal

All international applicants must fill out the University of Toronto’s international application. If you want to apply to other universities in Ontario in addition to this university, you’d have to fill out the OUAC 105 Application. If you’ve already filled out the OUAC 105 application, you don’t need to submit an international application to the University of Toronto and the OUAC 105 application would be considered. The application fee is $180 and is non-refundable so make sure you either submit one, either the OUAC 105 or the University of Toronto’s international application. In case you do submit both, the international application would be canceled and you wouldn’t get a refund. You can access the application portal for international students by following information on this page https://future.utoronto.ca/apply/applying/.
