GRE subject tests are achievement tests that measure your knowledge in a particular field of study. These tests are only offered in six disciplines, which are:

For example, the GRE Mathematics test has 66 questions while the GRE Psychology test has 205. However, all GRE subject tests have a standard amount of time to finish the test which is 2 hours and 50 minutes. All GRE subject tests are scored out of 990. A good GRE subject score is considered to be 650 and above. Since GRE subjects tests are offered in different disciplines, a good score may vary a little depending upon the discipline. It’s always best to check what a good score would be in your field. Many universities also upload test score related data on their websites which can be used for figuring out average scores.
